“The Veterans’ History Project” for Korean War Veterans - Wexford Co.

From the Wexford County Veterans' Services:

 Dear Korean War Veteran,

Wexford County Veterans Services is organizing “The Veterans’ History Project” for Korean War Veterans. The goal of the program is to gather historical information of our veterans who served during the Korean War Era.  I’m providing the veteran, family or veteran caregiver a Biographical Data Request form.  The request form will help us provide information about our veteran’s service to the Library of Congress.  Please ensure the veteran request form is returned our office or brought to the recording interview.

Additionally, if the veteran has memorabilia from military service, please bring any awards, pictures, or documents to the interview.  We are asking veterans to gather first at the Wexford County/Michigan Works building at 401 North Lake Street, Cadillac, MI at 8:45 am on December 5th for coffee and doughnuts.  The veterans will be asked questions about their time before service, during service and after they left the military.  Two video interview sessions (10:00 am and 1:00 pm) are also available for veterans on December 5th 2017 at the Career Tech. Center located at 9901 E. 13th St. Cadillac, MI 49601.  If you have questions regarding the interview please call Kent Myers at (231)775-6654.
