Welcome to the March issue of the Texas Elder Law E-letter

Due to the request of many, we are having a rare Saturday “Estate Planning Essentials” workshop which is free and to be held on April 16 at 10:00 a.m. Seating is limited. Also our maintenance members are entitled to a bonus workshop on “Retirement Planning” given by Chris Scarborough on April 21 at 10:00 a.m.. A Social Security workshop will be held on May 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Abuelo’s restaurant in Plano. To sign up for any of these workshops, you may call us at (214) 720-0102 or sign up online at www.dallaselderlawyer.com.

Also don’t forget Michael B. Cohen can be heard on his radio show “Know Your Legal Rights” which is every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. and every Saturday at 2:30 p.m. on KAAM 770. Podcasts of the shows are also available on our website. If you want a question to be addressed on a future show, please mention the same on our website, and we’ll discuss the topics we think are most relevant.

Also, if you wish to be a part of our walk team, "Michael's Marchers" (whether you walk or not), for the benefit of the Alzheimer’s Association, you may also sign up for that on our website at www.dallaselderlawyer.com. The 2016 Alzheimer's Walk is scheduled for October 1, 2016.

We will be updating our website where the nursing home facilities will have a link to direct you to a website where you can enter your zip code and be able to gather more information on the nursing home facility closest to you.
