Welcome to the October issue of the

Texas Elder Law E-letter

A very big “THANK YOU” to everyone who contributed and/or walked for “Michael’s Marchers” benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association on Saturday, October 1st. The walk has now raised over $1 Million and had over 4,600 participants. To see the pictures of some of our walk team, click here.  A special thanks to Don Crawford and KAAM 770 AM whose generous contributions made us one of the leading individual fundraising teams to help find a cure for this terrible disease. It is not too late to contribute by clicking here. To sign up for the Alzheimer’s Association newsletter, please go to: http://www.alz.org/apps/email_signup.asp.

Michael B. Cohen spoke on “The 10 steps to Avoid Elder Abuse” on Monday, October 17th to the Elderly Safety Awareness Committee, a part of the Senior Affairs Commission at Dallas City Hall. He also spoke to residents and the children of the residents at the Bentley Senior Living facility on Tuesday, October 25th regarding “Estate Planning for Your Family”.
