Leonard E. Mondschein, Esq. presented "Long Term Care Insurance and Annuities", for The Elder Law Section of The Florida Bar, in Orlando, Florida in January 2015. The program was attended by over 140 Elder Law Attorneys from Florida. This was part of a program called "Essentials of Elder Law."


BREAKING NEWS

On January 15, 2015, The Florida Supreme Court issued an Advisory Opinion on Medicaid Planning Activities and Non-Lawyers. Essentially the opinion defines what constitutes the practice of law with regard to Medicaid planning and what is otherwise permitted.  If a non-lawyer is engaged in activities which constitutes the unlicensed practice of law, it is a third degree feloney.

Over the next few months, The Elder Law Center of Mondschen and Mondschein, P.A., will be meeting with health care professionals to distribute copies of the new law and to explain it's implications  For more information, contact our office.
