2025 Spousal Impoverishment, Home Equity Figures Released

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released its 2025 spousal impoverishment figures, going into effect beginning January 1, 2025.

Community Spouse Resource Allowance (CSRA)

Maximum CSRA = $157,920 (up from $154,140 in 2024)

Minimum CSRA = $31,584 (up from $30,828 in 2024)

Monthly Maintenance Needs Allowance (MMNA)

Maximum MMNA = $3,948 (up from $3,853.50 in 2024)

Minimum MMNA = $2,555 (lower 48 states)

          Alaska = $2,937.50

          Hawaii = $3,192.50

Note that new minimum MMNA figures will go into effect July 1, 2025.

Income Cap

Monthly Income Cap = $2,901 in applicable states (up from $2,829 in 2024)

Home Equity Limits

Minimum Home Equity Limit = $730,000 (up from $713,000)

Maximum Home Equity Limit = $1,097,000 (up from $1,071,000)
