Each fall, following the release of the annual September Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), Attorney Robert Clofine of Pennsylvania shares his forecast for the forthcoming year’s Medicaid spousal impoverishment figures.
For 2025, Clofine outlines the following predictions on the maximum community spouse resource allowance (CSRA), maximum monthly maintenance needs allowance (MMNA), and income cap:
- Maximum CSRA = $157,920 (an increase from $154,140 in 2024)
- Minimum CSRA = $31,584 (up from $30,828 in 2024)
- Maximum MMNA = $3,948 (up from $3,853.50 in 2024)
- Income Cap = $2,901 ($2,829 in 2024)
