NEW Trust Administration Newsletter

Here at Sullivan, Griffith & Beatty, LLP, we have seen a lot of trusts.  We’ve created our fair share.  Working with clients over the years, we have come to understand that trusts can do many things – but they are not "magic."  Trust Agreements function like an instruction booklet.  Not all circumstances require the same instructions.  And like any set of instructions, they can become confusing to those charged with actually making a trust work the way it should.

To help our clients better understand how trusts work and what they can do, we are starting a separate quarterly newsletter to address the broad subject of effectively managing a trust.

Some sample topics:

  • What is the difference between a revocable and an irrevocable trust?
  • Should I be funding my trust?
  • If my trust avoids probate, does my family need to do anything when I die?

There is a lot of information about trusts publicly available, but sometimes it can be difficult to sort through.  We hope this newsletter can help.  However, (disclaimer coming) a newsletter cannot take the place of actual legal advice, answering your specific questions.  If a newsletter topic raises a question or concern, please call our office to schedule an appointment to discuss your specific situation.

If you would like to subscribe to our new Trust Administration Newsletter, please send us an email at info@sgbllp.com and we will add your email address to our new mailing list!

And you can always refer back to our website at www.sgbllp.com if you miss an issue.
