Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

This Thanksgiving season, we say thank you to our clients, friends, and colleagues.  We genuinely appreciate and are thankful to all for your support throughout the year.  We wish each of you a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Reminder:  Medicare open enrollment for 2020 will end on December 7, 2019.  If you have not already reviewed your current plan to be certain that it is the best option for you for the coming year, we encourage you to do so before it is too late.

Speaking Engagements:  We are proud to announce that both Katie Lenert and Connie Renzi will, once again, be presenters at the upcoming 15th Annual Elder Law Short Course, for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education (IICLE).  This year the two-day course will be held on November 21st and 22nd.

The 2020 Social Security Increase Will Be Smaller than 2019's

The Social Security Administration has announced a 1.6 percent increase in benefits in 2020, nearly half of last year's change. The small rise has advocates questioning whether the government is using the proper method to calculate increases.

What to Do If You Are Appointed Guardian of an Older Adult

Being appointed guardian of a loved one is a serious responsibility. As guardian, you are in charge of your loved one's well-being and you have a duty to act in his or her best interest.
