Elder, Estate Planning, & Special Needs Law News

May 2021

Happy Elder Law & Older Americans Month!!

We are pleased to join in celebrating Elder Law and Older Americans month virtually this year. As we reflect on this important month, we note that the pandemic has highlighted the need for each of us to have our important legal documents in place.  In particular, having solid estate planning and life care planning documents (including Powers of Attorney for both Health Care and Property) are critical to protecting ourselves and to taking pro-active steps to ensure that our wishes will be carried out (especially, should there be a time when we are incapacitated).

-- Welcome Announcement--

It is with great pleasure that we welcome the newest member of our team, Becky. In addition to her professionalism, positive energy, and pleasant demeanor, Becky joins our team with an abundance of past legal experience.  From day one, she hit the ground running and has already been providing valuable support to many of our clients in a variety of our law firm's practice area's including, but not limited to: probate administration, trust administration, guardianships, etc.  Again, we are delighted to welcome Becky to our team!

--Additional Updates--

As our state slowly emerges from the pandemic and the consequential shutdowns, our attorneys are continuing to meet virtually with clients. Should you or someone you know wish to meet with one of our attorneys for assistance with, or to discuss options for: estate, life care, and/or long-term care planning; or, other planning matters, please do not hesitate to contact our office to schedule an appointment with one of our attorneys.  It would be our pleasure to meet with you to review your current planning and/or to discuss planning options for your consideration.

Reminder:  Out of an abundance of caution and to do our continued part in helping to keep our clients, staff, and their respective families as safe as possible, all non-signing appointments with the following attorneys: Connie Renzi; Katie Lenert; or Brandan Rissman, remain "virtual" (via video or telephone conferencing).

Additional Legal Services: To learn more about the legal services offered by our parent law firm, Mickey, Wilson, Weiler, Renzi, Lenert, & Julien, P.C., please visit our website.  For example, did you know that our law firm is available to represent clients in both residential real estate matters and various personal injury matters.
