The law firm of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP is pleased to announce that two partners and three associates have been recognized in the 2023 New York Metro edition of Super Lawyers. Managing partner Anthony J. Enea has been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer in the practice area of Estate & Probate; Sara E. Meyers, partner, was recognized in Elder Law. Lauren C. Enea, senior associate; Michael P. Enea, associate; and Stella King, associate; have been named Rising Stars.
2023 marks the seventeenth consecutive year Anthony J. Enea has been included in the Super Lawyers list, and the eleventh time he has been honored as a “Top 25” attorney in Westchester County. His practice areas include wills, trusts & estates, elder law; Medicaid asset protection planning; Medicaid applications (home care and nursing home) and special needs planning.
“It's an honor to be acknowledged by Super Lawyers alongside four exceptional colleagues,” said Mr. Enea. “At Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, we are committed to making a positive impact the lives of our clients by safeguarding their live savings and ensuring their peace of mind. This recognition is a testament to that unwavering dedication to those we serve.”
Also recognized as a 2023 Super Lawyer, Sara E. Meyers has been on the New York Metro list for eleven consecutive years. Ms. Meyers concentrates her practice on guardianship proceedings (including contested guardianships), special needs planning and long term care planning strategies, with a focus on Medicaid home care and nursing home.
In addition, three associates of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP are 2023 Rising Stars:
Senior associate Lauren C. Enea (Estate & Probate): Practice areas include elder law; probate and administration proceedings; wills, trusts, and estates; and Medicaid planning & applications (nursing home and homecare)
Associate Michael P. Enea (Elder Law): Practice areas include elder law; wills, trusts and estates; tax planning; and corporate law
Associate Stella King (Elder Law): Practice areas include elder law, Medicaid planning & applications (nursing home and homecare), and estate planning
The research team at Super Lawyers, a publication of Thomson Reuters, undertakes a rigorous, multi-phase selection process each year. Once nominations are determined through a statewide survey of lawyers, candidates then undergo independent evaluations by an attorney-led research staff and a peer review by practice area.
The selection process for the Rising Stars list is the same as Super Lawyers, with one exception – to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for ten years or less. While up to five percent of the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to the Rising Stars list.
