Anthony J. Enea, Esq. Named Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains

The law firm of Enea, Scanlan & Sirignano, LLP is pleased to announce that managing partner Anthony J. Enea, Esq. has been named the Best Lawyers® 2026 Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains. Mr. Enea, along with partner Sara E. Meyers, Esq., was also selected for inclusion in the 32nd edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice areas of Elder Law and Trusts & Estates. In addition, Lauren C. Enea, Esq., partner, was recognized in the 6thedition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America.
This marks the fifteenth consecutive year Mr. Enea has been included in the Best Lawyers list and his sixth “Lawyer of the Year” honor – awarded to a single attorney in each practice area and geographic region with the highest overall peer feedback.
“To be recognized again by Best Lawyers in America, especially alongside Sara and Lauren, is a true honor,” said Mr. Enea, who has spent nearly 40 years protecting the rights of seniors, the disabled, and their families. “It is a testament to our team’s unwavering commitment to excellence in elder law and estate planning.”
Regarded as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States, Best Lawyers is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 50,000 leading attorneys cast over five and a half million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. Corporate Counsel magazine has called Best Lawyers “the most respected referral list of attorneys in practice.”
Recognition in a Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list is based entirely on peer review and employs the same methodology that has made Best Lawyers the gold standard for legal rankings worldwide. These awards are given to attorneys who are earlier in their careers for outstanding professional excellence in private practice in America. 2026 marks the fourth consecutive year Ms. Enea has been named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list.

Estate Planning for Digital Assets: What You Need to Know
By: Lauren C. Enea, Esq.
|
|
|

Estate Planning today must include a plan for your digital footprint – the never-ending trail of online accounts, files, photos and information you leave behind. If you are anything like me, your digital footprint is dilapidated at best and includes a mixture of about 2,000 selfies filed along-side important family photos somewhere on the “cloud.” Estate Planning in the digital age has become messy, from cryptocurrency account becoming locked to ensuring someone is appointed to oversee your “Facebook Legacy Page,” there is much to be done!
Here are a few “To-Dos” to get you started:
Make a Digital Inventory: List all your digital accounts, login information, and what you want done with them. This includes emails, social media, cloud storage, and yes, even your Costco account. Using a password manager can help organize all the passwords associated with your accounts, allowing you to remember one password to get into the password manager account, which then provides access to individual subfiles that securely keep all passwords for any digital account you may have.
