Join Us at the Caregiver Fair!

Again this year, the Nawrocki Center is a sponsor of the Livingston County Consortium on Aging Caregiver Fair.  This year, the Fair is bing held on Saturday April 6, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Brighton High School, 7878 Brighton Rd. in Brighton.

The Caregiver Fair is an annual event specifically focused on caregiver issues and their challenges.  This event historically draws an attendance of 300+ caregivers from Livingston County and surrounding areas.

The information provided from local vendors is appropriate for those caring for seniors and younger individuals needing guidance and professional assistance.

The Livingston County Consortium on Aging's purpose is to present the care partners of Livingston County with resources that they may not realize are available for their loved one, such as transportation, nutritional care, support services, legal and financial counseling, home safety, respite and home care.

If you are a caregiver, or have a caregiver, be sure to attend to get helpful, valuable information.

How to Get Medicaid Coverage for your Assisted Living or Nursing Home Care… Without Selling Your Home or Leaving Your Family Without a Dime

One of the biggest fears that many people have today is the fear of having their life savings wiped out if they end up in a nursing home. What a shame to see someone’s life savings of 30, 40, or 50 years wiped out in a matter of months. Whether you or a family member is in a crisis or not, it is important that you understand what you can do to protect your hard-earned assets! Most of the public does not yet realize that the laws on asset protection and long-term care planning changed on February 8, 2006. It is extremely important that you know about these changes and how they may affect your long-term care planning! A brand new, free informational seminar hosted by Elder Law Attorneys Nancy C. Nawrocki and Lisa H. Beatty with the Nawrocki Center for Elder Law will be held in February :
