It sounds like you are in a terrible situation. You have no legal obligation to take care of your grandfather. However, it’s not clear whether your grandfather is living in his own home or your home. He may have a legal right to stay where he is. And it would be best that the family work out a plan together to care for him, whether in a nursing home or one of your homes. Perhaps a local senior services organization can act as a mediator to get everyone around the table to discuss the next steps for your grandfather. But if your uncles won’t come to the table, you do have to find a way to live your life.
