MARCH 2021

HAPPY MARCH!! HAPPY SPRING!!

March is a unique month in Illinois. Not only does it usher in the beginning of spring, our clocks also "spring" forward to maximize daylight which, before we know it, will stretch into evening hours.  March is, also, known for coming in like a "lion" and exiting like a "lamb"!  As such, we will continue to have days during which winter and spring will continue to collide with one another.

Those chilly March days are the perfect days to get a jump on "spring cleaning" and to create (and/or check) the status of the "to do" lists that we made for ourselves, at the start of 2021.  Have we moved forward with creating; reviewing; and/or updating our estate and life care planning?  If not, then why not add doing so to your "spring cleaning" to do list?

Should you or someone you know wish to meet with one of our attorneys for assistance with, or to discuss options for: estate, life care, and/or long-term care planning; or, other planning matters, please do not hesitate to contact our office to schedule an appointment with one of our attorneys.  It would be our pleasure to meet with you to review your current planning and/or to discuss planning options for your consideration.

In addition, to learn more about the legal services offered by our parent law firm, Mickey, Wilson, Weiler, Renzi, Lenert, & Julien, P.C., please visit our website.  For example, did you know that our law firm is available to represent clients in both residential real estate matters and various personal injury matters?

Reminder:  Out of an abundance of caution and to do our continued part in helping to keep our clients, staff, and their respective families as safe as possible, all non-signing appointments with the following attorneys: Connie Renzi; Katie Lenert; or Brandan Rissman, remain "virtual" (via video or telephone conferencing).

As the second (and maybe third) round of stimulus checks go out, it is important to know that nursing home residents are not required to turn their checks over to their nursing home.
