October is National Special Needs Law Month
In honor of "Special Needs Law Month" and to help educate individuals and families as to special needs law resources and available planning options, we are reposting an article (originally posted in our October 2020 newsletter), which highlights the importance of special needs planning. The article includes tips primarily for parents who have created, or will be, creating a special needs plan that benefits a child with special needs. For individuals and families facing special needs, planning for the same is of the utmost importance. Such planning can involve supplemental needs trusts and care management, as well as advocacy to qualify for or preserve public benefits, educational, civil rights, and/or other important issues. Our attorneys are available to meet with individuals and families, who wish to learn more about special needs laws and available planning options, and/or who need legal assistance with other special needs law matter(s).
