Summer Tips & Office Updates
Tip 1: Suggestions for beating the heat. Heat related illnesses can be life threatening! As such, taking precautions to keep yourself safe from heat stress during the summer months is extremely important. The Illinois Department of Aging has published common sense tips for beating the heat and keeping yourself, along with your family and friends safe. Regardless of your own age and health status, we encourage you to check out these tips; and when possible, check on persons you know who may be at-risk.

Tip 2: Indoor summer activity suggestion. When taking an air conditioning break and cooling off indoors, use the time to take a few minutes to review your estate and life care planning. Do your current planning documents still accurately reflect your wishes? If not or if you have not yet created your estate and life care plan, then make an action plan for getting legal advice and assistance to update (or to create) your estate and life care plan.
Office Update: Upcoming speaking engagement. Our very own Katie Lenert is scheduled to present at the following National Business Institute's upcoming course: "Medicaid Planning: The Complete Toolkit for Attorneys" on September 27, 2022. Although this is a legal course designed with attorneys in mind, accountants, estate and financial planners, nursing home administrators, investment advisers, continued care managers, and paralegals will also benefit.
