The Corporate Transparency Act (“CTA”), was enacted by Congress on January 1, 2021, as part of the National Defense Authorization Act. The CTA includes major reforms to anti-money laundering laws and creates a beneficial ownership reporting requirement for LLC's and other similar companies formed or registered to do business in the United States. KMA Real Estate Settlement Services Now Offering Remote Notarization
|
Pennsylvania allows remote notarization for most transactions including real estate. The legal requirement that the signer personally & physically appear before the notary is met by the use of audio-visual electronic communication technology.
In order to use this technology, each signer will need an independent email address and will need to pass a series of multiple-choice questions using public records to verify individual identities.
