Happy July!

The sound of fireworks and the smell of barbecue permeating the air is a sure sign that the month of July is upon us.  This year, July brings with it a bonus - the start of the 2024 Paris Olympics.  A common theme throughout the Olympics will likely be stories regarding the triumphing of the human spirit.  Even if a medal is not earned, we will be reminded that the journey itself is the triumph.  We will hear stories of commitment and dedication. 

When we hear those stories, it reminds us of the commitment and dedication that our clients, their families, and caregivers make every day.  While the world may never hear their individual stories and they will not be receiving medals, we know firsthand how extraordinary these individuals are, and we are inspired!

Help for those who may be struggling with mental health issues:  If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health issues and needs assistance, help is available by calling or texting the recently launched three-digit dialing code – “988”. The new 988 dialing code to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, for mental health crises, is available throughout the United States.  Additionally, veterans can now dial 988 and press 1 to reach the Veteran Crisis Line.
