Newsletter Highlights
As summer draws to a close, this month’s newsletter highlights an important Medicare protection that is often misunderstood. Under the Jimmo standard, Medicare coverage for skilled care does not depend on a patient’s ability to improve— post-hospital coverage may also be available when skilled care is needed to maintain function or prevent or slow decline. For more information on this important standard, check out this month's first article. Also, this month, we also look at Fair Housing Act protections for older adults and a proposed federal rule that could affect housing assistance.
We hope you find these articles helpful as you enjoy the final days of summer!
